The programme begins with you flying to Cape Town on the Friday when the other divers leave for home. Overnight is in a Cape Town hotel (bed and a light breakfast)

Saturday – You will be collected at the hotel early morning and transported to Gansbaai where you will enjoy a cage dive with the Great White sharks. In the afternoon, you will be transported to your hotel in Simonstown on the Cape Peninsular (Bed and Breakfast)

Sunday 09h00 we depart from Simonstown main pier for a 30 minute trip on our 30 ft catamaran to Pyramid Rock. Our first dive is at 10h00 followed by a drink and snack with the second dive following at 11h45. These dives are in the kelp forest at around 10 metres depth (so we can normally dive for anything up to 60 minutes) with the water at 13 – 18 degrees and visibility 3 – 15 metres.

This is the home of the Broadnosed 7 Gill Cowshark believed to be the oldest and most primitive living shark. It is also home to the Catsharks and Shysharks listed above. There is also a colony of Cape Fur Seals in this area not frequented by the mighty Great White shark giving us the opportunity to dive with these playful and intriguing animals.

Monday An early 07h00 start from Simonstown main pier as we have a 30 kms trip out to the warm Aghulas current where we find the Shortfin Mako and Blue sharks. Once we have the sharks in attendance, we don our scuba gear and join the sharks at 5 metres around our baitbox. With such a shallow dive, we can easily spend 60 – 120 minutes with the sharks. Being in the Agulhas current also means we can expect the water to be a more comfortable 18 – 22 degrees with visibility anything from 10 – 50 metres.

Tuesday - Today we have planned a land trip visiting Table Mountain and the Cape Peninsular Reserve. We have two reasons for having this arrangement. Firstly, of course, it would be a real shame to miss seeing these beautiful areas. Equally important, the Cape waters can be unpredictable. With a planned day on land, if one of our dive days has difficult sea conditions, we will do our land tour on that day leaving us Tuesday to enable us to hopefuly do all the planned dives.

Wednesday – your return flight home from Cape Town airport.

We require a minimum of two clients for this extension and the cost of the extension is Euro 1,590.00 which includes:-
